Tournament Information Date: May 30, 2026 Location: Farmers Branch Chess Club 1804 Mindehall Drive, Farmers Branch, TX 75234 Tournament initially limited to 30 players. Participants must bring their own tournament clocks and scoresheets. US Chess membership required for all sections. Open to all players. Main Event Sections • U600 / Unrated • U1200 • Championship Live US Chess ratings may be considered. Sections may be merged if turnout is low. Format 4 Round Swiss Non elimination Time Control G/30; D5 Schedule Round 1 begins at 9:00 AM CST 30 minute lunch break after Round 1. Remaining rounds ASAP. Entry Fee $30 Awards Trophies Blitz Tournament Section Open Format 5 Round Swiss Non elimination Time Control G/5; 0 Start Time Immediately after completion of regular rounds Entry Fee $15 Awards Trophies Registration Online registration only through the Farmers Branch Chess Club website. Registration closes at 11:00 PM the day before the event. Payment via Zelle: farmersbranchchessclub@gmail.com Include participant full name in the Zelle memo. Food & Drinks Lunch and drinks will not be available onsite. Participants may bring sack lunches. Tournament Policies Refunds Tournament credits may be issued if cancellation is emailed before 11:00 PM the day before the event. No refunds for no shows. Photography Photos will be taken during the tournament. Parents & Guardians Children are welcome to participate. Players will compete against adults and are expected to behave appropriately during tournament play. Children under 16 must have a parent or guardian remain in the building.
