Over 30 years experience. Levon Aronian's coach and second (from 2010 to 2020), FIDE Senior Trainer (since 2017), Honored Coach of Armenia (since 1998).

My GM students include: Levon Aronian, Gabriel Sargissian, Varuzhan Akobian, Davit G. Petrosian, Goh Wei Ming, Daniel Fernandez. I have also coached the national teams of Kuwait and Singapore.

One of the variations in the Grünfeld Defence is named after me: 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 g6 3.Nc3 d5 4.cxd5 Nxd5 5.Na4 (Nadanian Variation).

I am the author of the book "My Chess" (ISBN 978-99941-2-910-2), which the famous chess historian and book collector Yakov Zusmanovich called the best biographical book of 2013 and one of the best in the last twenty years. The book also received high praise from the outstanding coach Mark Dvoretsky, who wrote a laudatory article about it.
