Coach Manny

I’m Coach Manny, a 1900-level chess player, former teacher, and experienced chess coach who combines competitive chess knowledge with proven teaching skills. I’ve had the privilege of teaching Georgia State Champions and Louisiana State Champions, and my goal is simple: I want to help you—or your student—become a state champion too.
As both a current player and educator, I understand how to break complex chess ideas into clear, practical steps. I’m also trained in the Dutch Step Method (Stappenmethode), a structured chess curriculum that develops tactical awareness, calculation, strategy, and strong decision-making through progressive lessons and practice. Beginner or an experienced tournament player, I focus on helping you build the skills, confidence, and competitive mindset needed to win.
