I’m the founder of C3 Chess and a San Antonio–based chess coach with experience coaching 100+ students through schools, clubs, group classes, and private lessons. I work primarily with beginners and intermediate players, helping them build strong fundamentals, confidence, and real game understanding.

My coaching focuses on clear principles, pattern recognition, and practical decision-making, not memorizing openings. Lessons are structured, engaging, and adapted to each student’s level, whether they’re learning the rules, preparing for tournament play, or simply looking to improve.

Between lessons, students receive clear lesson plans, guided practice assignments, and interactive learning materials I create, including annotated examples and step-by-step guides. Students can expect organized sessions, supervised practice games, and actionable feedback they can immediately apply both during and between lessons.
