Titled Chess Coaches in Bolivia

Chess in Bolivia is organized under the Federación Boliviana de Ajedrez (FBA), based in La Paz, which runs the national championship and sends teams to the Chess Olympiad and South American youth events. La Paz, Cochabamba, and Santa Cruz are the country's main centers of activity. The competitive scene is still small by regional standards, but it has produced real results: Oswaldo Zambrana became Bolivia's first and only grandmaster in 2007 and has represented the country at eight Chess Olympiads, and a new generation is coming through Cochabamba, headlined by Licael Ticona, who won South American U-20 gold in 2022 and became Bolivia's youngest International Master at age 14. Women's chess also has an active national championship, with WFM Jessica Molina among its most decorated recent champions.
