The Fall Championship is a 5-Round Swiss System tournament with all players in one section. Players must be Spokane Chess Club members in good standing as of the end of August 2026. Time Control: G/90,d5 Entry Fee: $20 Prizes: Depend on number of players, to be announced before Round 2. Cash prizes to first & second overall, one or two to class groups of at least 3 players. Winner will also receive one free year of Chess67 Pro and may become a contender for the 2027 Spokane Championship.

CHESS ZONE RATED SCHOLASTIC K-12 Four Rounds, Swiss System, USCF rated SECTIONS: U1200: Open to scholastic players rated between 600 and 1199. U600: Open to scholastic players under 600 and unrated. PRIZES: Trophies to 1st-3rd place in each section. Medals to all finish with 50% or greater that don’t win a trophy. Time Control: G/25; d5; USCF dual rated (regular and quick). Entry Fee: Members: $38 if pre-registered by 9/16; $43 by 9/20; $48 on-site. Non-Members: $45 if pre-registered by 9/16; $50 by 9/20; $55 on-site. The field is limited to the first 40 registrants. Schedule: All players, including pre-registrants, please check in by 9:45 am. Rounds: 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 12:45 pm, 2:00 pm 1/2-Pt. Byes: Available, limit two. Must request 1/2-point byes before round 1 begins. 0-point byes available at any time for any round. Unrated players must obtain a USCF membership (from https://uschess.org). This is a casual meet-up where chess players of all skill levels are welcome; the coffee is good and fun is had by all!

++Tournament Format++

1. USCF membership required
2. Sections - Just one 850+ section
3. Quads - meaning players will be grouped into sections of 4 (i.e. quads) & will play each of the 3 similarly rated players in their quad.
4. G/60 d5 - For each game, each player has 60 min to make all their moves, with a 5-sec delay per move. This dually rated time control counts towards both USCF Regular & Quick ratings.
5. No byes may be requested.
6. Prizes! (subject to change) - (1) $30 will be awarded to the winner of each quad (split if there's a tie). (2) In addition, $10 will be awarded to 2 other players who didn't win their quad for the Most Outstanding Performance Award.
