++“Master/Expert” (FIDE-rated): Open to FIDE or USCF-rated players 2000 and above. $1300-700, Top Under 2200 $600.
Class “A:” (FIDE-rated): Open to USCF-rated 1800 thru 1999. $900-450.
Class “B:”++: Open to USCF-rated 1600 thru 1799. $800-400.
++Class “C:” Open to USCF-rated 1400 thru 1599 and Unrated. $700-350.
Class “D:” Open to USCF-rated 1200 thru 1399 and Unrated. $600-3000.
Class “E:”++ Open to USCF-rated Under 1200 and Unrated. $400-200.
Scholastic 2-day: (U1200) /U900 /U600 Trophies for 1st TO 3rd Places, 1st Unrated., Medals to all others.
Top Senior Prize in each cash prize section, (MUST BE AT LEAST 60 ON October16th.): $50
Trophies and Titles to top GCA members.
All: (Awarding of Prizes): If any post-event rating published between Oct. 1, 2025, thru
Oct. 15, 2026, was more than 50 points above the section rating maximum, the prize limit is $200. Balance of any limited prize(s) goes to the next player(s) in line.
All sections: Players (rated 1000 thru 1999) should enter the Class per their “Official Rating,” but may elect to enter the next higher Class except to the Master/Expert within 100 points. All player’s “Official Rating” is per the USCF October 2026 Rating Supplement. Players (rated 1000 thru 1999) may elect to enter any higher Class provided player’s “live” rating qualifies their entry into the higher Class.
 
GA Class Entry Fee: $120 ($10 Discount for GCA Members – Use GCA Class26), if received by Oct. 8th. After October 6th at Midnight to Oct 13 - $140 and then after Midnight from Oct 14 to October 16th at 6 PM - $160 and at site. (W)GM, (W)IM Free ($100 deducted from cash prizes won). Re-entry costs: $60 except the Open Section. 
 
Scholastic Section is $50, then $70 after midnight October 7th and from October 14th to 17th at 9 AM on site $90 registration. Limited to first 60
Re-Entry: $60 (Not available in “Master/Expert” section).

1/2-Pt. Byes: Available for all rounds (limit two) – all 1/2-Pt. Byes must be requested before the start of round two. 0-Pt. Byes for any round may be requested at any time.
” Do Not Pair” option: Immediate family members may request to not be paired (Rds. 1 thru 4 only). Option must be requested before the close of registration (Not available in FIDE sections).
Players Must Bring Clocks – Sets and boards are supplied by the Georgia Chess
Association. Georgia Residents: GCA membership required.

**2026 Class Blitz Tournament: 4 double rounds. **Saturday at 9:00 pm, G/3 d2, Cash prizes based on entries. Online EF $20, $30 if not playing in main tournament. Blitz online entry is available until noon Saturday, otherwise $10 more at the door.
