Southeast Chess Club

Southeastern Chess is a regional initiative dedicated to growing chess across the Southeastern United States through high quality tournaments and community driven events.

Operating under the Parent Teacher Student Organization, a registered 501c3 nonprofit, the organization focuses on creating accessible and competitive playing opportunities for players of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels.

One of its flagship events is the Southeastern Regional Women’s and Girls’ Chess Championship, an annual tournament supported by a US Chess grant that brings together players from across the region. The event features multiple sections, a $5000+ guaranteed prize fund, live DGT board broadcasts, and national qualification opportunities.

Southeastern Chess works alongside partners including Atlanta Chinese Christian Church, Chess Nation, and the North Atlanta Chess Club to expand access to chess, support scholastic development, and build a stronger chess community throughout the Southeast.
