Registration begins at 6:45 PM and the first round starts at 7:00 PM. The event features four rounds of G/15 chess and is open to players of all ages and skill levels with a current USCF membership. - This event honors Senior chess players in Georgia. The top Georgia player will receive a $500 stipend to attend the ++9th Annual (2026) John T. Irwin National Tournament of Senior State Champions++. Cash prizes may be won by players from other states. Eligibility: Players must be over the age of 50 on or before May 30, 2026. Players must be GCA members with current US Chess memberships. Format: 2-day USCF-rated event, 4-SS, Time-Control: G/90+30 inc. EF = $75 online until May 28th. EF = $100 onsite.
