Choose what happens when a membership expires

Set access duration and decide whether expiry removes access, moves a member, or keeps them active.

Go to the right place

Open the membership group's Payment settings.
Review the duration settings for manual or one-time memberships. These differ from a provider-managed recurring subscription period.
Choose the group's expiration behavior: end that group access, move the member to another group, or keep them active, as offered by the editor.
If moving expired members, choose and review the destination group.
Save and check the member dates and any renewal reminder settings. Explain the intended expiry outcome in your member communication.

Expired memberships are processed using the group's saved behavior. A date alone does not always mean immediate removal from the club.
