- Swiss - meaning players are paired each round with opponents who have similar scores
- G/5+3 - meaning 5 min to make all moves, plus a 3-sec bonus per move. This will count towards USCF Blitz.

- 1 - 3 PM: Group Stage - All players play 6 (maybe 7) rounds of G/5+3
- 3 - 4 PM: Knockout Stage - The top 4 seeds advance to a single-elimination bracket. To win it all, a player must win two consecutive best-of-2 matches. If we're lucky & a match is tied after two games, Armageddon insues!

- G/45 d5 - For each game, each player has 45 min to make all their moves, with a 5-sec delay before each move. This dually-rated time control counts towards both USCF Regular & Quick ratings.
- No byes may be requested.
