Under 1800 Rated Section 1st Place $300, 2nd Place $100.
Under 1400 Rated Section 1st Place $300, 2nd Place $100.
$50 Senior prize to top overall scoring Senior Player Age 50+ across all sections(this is a bonus, add-on prize totally separate from overall prize fund)
FREE PIZZA provided to all chess players,chess parents&chess coaches between 1pm&3pm
Sections may be combined at Chief TD discretion.
Any player rated 1700 or above may play in Open Section. Any player rated 1300 to 1799 may play in Under 1800 Section. Unrated may play in any section but must obtain a USCF ID. Unrated max prize is $100 unless playing in Open Section.
Schedule: Round 1 @10am, Round 2 @12:10pm, Round 3@3pm, Round 4@5:10pm.
Schedule for Scholastic:Round 1 @10am , Round 2 @11.10am , Round 3@12:10 pm and Round 4@2pm. Trophies 3.15 to 3.30 p.m.
Chess sets supplied. Some clocks available but please bring your own clock if possible.
Entry Fee: $40 by 11:59PM September 5 then $50 by 11:59PM September 12, then $60 until 9:30AM Septmber 20. Free entry for (W)GM, (W)IM ($50 subtracted from prize). ONSITE REGISTRATION AVAILABLE. Registration cap 150 players
Scholastic Sections G25;d5: Entry Fee For Scholastic $30 until 11:59PM September 12 then $35 until 09:30 am the day of the tournament. Top 3 Trophies in each scholastic section. ONSITE REGISTRATION AVAILABLE. Registration cap 150 players
Byes: One 1/2 point bye available any round but must commit before start of round 1. Zero point byes available any round but please confirm with Chief TD Before Round Starts.
Location: Atlanta Chess Club, 5795 Denson Blvd, MORROW, GA, 30260(Right Across Denson Blvd from Church)or at 5754 Attucks Blvd , MORROW GA(Parking at C Alexander Learning Academy as well. After parking, walk through gates to building behind daycare.
