National Chess Day - Smyrna October Quick Tournament

*** Update (9 October 2026 8PM): Tournament is still scheduled to start at 8am. We will be sending out email and SMS text at 6am on 10 October with an update depending on the weather. If you have registered already, you can withdraw and have your registration go to the next scheduled tournament (Currently: January 9th or if we can reschedule in early November) ***

Come join us for our second rated tournament! Expected rounds: Swiss-style pairing, 4 rounds, G/20d5, done by 12 o'clock! This will be an on-going tournament for the Smyrna area!

USCF Membership is Required. Georgia Chess Association Membership not required but suggested. Please send me a message if you need to renew your USCF membership

Players may be adjusted up or down section to balance each section. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Round 1 Start: 8:15
Round 2 Expected Start: 9:10
Round 3 Expected Start: 10:10
Round 4 Expected Start: 11:10

Win = 1 Point, Draw = 0.5 Point, Loss = 0 Point

Registration by Sept 4th: $15
Registration by Oct 2nd: $20
Registration by Oct 10th: $25

Trophies for 1st and 2nd place for 6 or more players in that section, otherwise just 1st place.
