Smyrna Chess Club is committed to bringing our communities together through local events so we can play, teach, and learn from each other. Besides our Monday Night tournaments, we host meet ups on some Thursdays around South Cobb, mainly in the Smyrna, Vinings, and Marietta areas.
With over 80 unique individuals coming to our events over the last 4 months, it goes to show that there is a ton of people looking to connect around chess in our local area.
Plans for 2026: Continue to find venues for our meetups, keep building on our strong start, fundraising for more chess boards and clocks
Plans for 2027: Club Board, Fundraising for community initiatives and club needs, Bi-monthly rated tournaments, sponsor at least 10 children in the community to go to their first rated-tournament.
